Investment Professionals
Mr. Schickel is a co-founder of EVE and has been involved in 159 transactions in the T&L industry valued in excess of $11.2 billion. In addition to his investment activity, he has served as CEO of Omni Logistics and led it to the second-highest sale price in North American logistics at $2.9 billion. He was also CFO and COO at Centurion Auto Transport and CFO and co-founder of AMLI, Inc. (now known as AMPORTS). Mr. Schickel currently sits on the Board of Directors for Velociti, Energy Transport Logistics and Zelh, Inc. Prior Board positions include Omni Logistics, Forward Air, MyUS.com, BAMfi, P&S Transportation (now PS Logistics), ATC Logistics, United Vision Logistics, Jack Cooper Transportation, AIT Worldwide Logistics, AMLI (AMPORTS), American Global Logistics, Point Dedicated, and Francis Drilling Fluids. He is a fellow and Member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and E&Y Audit Committee Institute, respectively. Mr. Schickel has received numerous awards, including the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the 3BL Media “Worldwide Impact Award,” the Dallas Business Journal “Most Admired CEO Award,” and the Texas Concilium Business Excellence Award. During his career, Mr. Schickel has been active with numerous non-profits. He lives in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife of over 25 years and has 3 children. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Florida Fischer School of Accounting.
Mr. Hodge joined EVE in 2011. He is currently on the Board of Forward Air, Riverstone Logistics, Integrity Express Logistics, and Energy Transport Logistics. Prior Board positions include AFN Logistics, Omni Logistics, MyUS.com, POGO, and Skybus Airlines. Mr. Hodge served as the CEO and CFO of SkyBus Airlines. Prior to joining EVE, he was the Founder and Managing Partner of Hilliard Street Capital, an investment firm with $220 million of assets under management. While in this capacity, Mr. Hodge raised capital for the fund, served as the Chief Investment Officer and managed all aspects of the business. From 2002 to 2007, he was the Co-Head of Tiger Management, a multi-billion-dollar family office managing the assets of Julian H. Robertson, Jr. During his tenure, Mr. Hodge was the Co-Chief Investment Officer and in charge of all aspects of the business, including the management of 14 employees and $2 billion of assets. From 1997 to 2000, he was a Managing Director and investment professional for Tiger Management, one of the largest hedge funds in the world during that time, with $22 billion of assets under management. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Hodge was a foreign currency trader at Bankers Trust. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, magna cum laude, from Princeton University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
Mr. Mamo is a co-founder of EVE and current Board Member of Riverstone Logistics and Energy Transport Logistics. He has advised or invested in more than 130 transactions, representing $8 billion of transaction value, in the T&L space across 40 industry verticals. Prior to co-founding EVE, Mr. Mamo was a Partner of Seaboard & Co. (acquired by ORIX, USA in 1999), a $1 billion hedge fund focused on second lien and mezzanine debt investments, where he was responsible for the firm’s credit decisions. From 1984 to 1994, he was a Partner at Peers & Co., a boutique Wall Street firm he co-founded to focus on cross-border M&A. Peers completed 130 transactions while representing Japanese buyers, more than all other U.S. firms combined. Prior to forming Peers, Mr. Mamo was a member of the investment banking department of Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. (currently dba Morgan Stanley). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Washington & Lee University.
Mr. Schickel joined EVE in 2002. He has advised or invested in over 100 transactions, representing $8 billion of transaction value, in the T&L space across 40 industry verticals. Prior to joining EVE, Mr. Schickel co-founded MuncipalTrade.com, an online municipal bond trading platform, where he helped raise funds, including a friends and family round as well as venture capital funding from Benchmark Capital and Cyberstarts with a $100mm valuation. From 1998 to 1999, he was an analyst and associate with First Liberty investment group. While in this capacity, Mr. Schickel sourced and funded over 20 transactions worth over $400 mm across a variety of municipal backed projects in the state of Georgia. He started his career in 1997 overseas as a financial analyst for Bern Banking Group Private in Prague, Czech Republic analyzing private funding opportunities of public municipalities. Mr. Schickel has served on the Communication Board of the Transportation Intermediary Association and has written numerous articles for the trade magazine, The Logistics Journal. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Florida and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia State University.
Mr. Carlton joined EVE in 2012 and served as Chief Strategy Officer of EVE portfolio company Omni Logistics, LLC from 2020 to 2024. In this role, he led the company’s capital allocation strategy and managed all 11 tuck-in acquisitions, representing approximately $1 billion in transaction value. Throughout his career, he has executed a range of transactions, including majority buyouts, minority investments, and equity recapitalizations, totaling over $5.5 billion. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland – College Park.
Mr. Carlton joined EVE in 2014. He currently helps direct transaction processes for acquisitions, overseeing due diligence, business analysis, and financing strategies. Mr. Carlton plays a key role in M&A and strategic planning for Riverstone Logistics, Energy Transport Logistics, and Integrity Express Logistics. He has helped support 23 logistics transactions totaling $1.6 billion in transaction value. Prior to joining EVE, he served as a Finance and Accounting Coordinator with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, and interned as an analyst at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch’s Wealth Management group. Mr. Carlton was a member of the Maryland Men’s NCAA Division 1 lacrosse team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland – College Park.
Mr. Brooke joined EVE in 2016 and served as VP, Strategy and Acquisitions of EVE portfolio company Omni Logistics, LLC from 2021 to 2024. He is responsible for managing the diligence process, commercial and business analysis, and putting together investor and lender materials during M&A processes. Mr. Brooke has worked on numerous transactions including majority buyouts, minority investments and equity recapitalizations totaling over $5.5 billion in transaction value. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the McIntire School at the University of Virginia.
Mr. Page joined EVE in 2023 and served as a business analyst of EVE portfolio company Omni Logistics, LLC from 2023 to 2024. While at Omni, he focused on financial and operational modeling and forecasts. Mr. Page currently assists with target company business and due diligence reviews, drafts of deal memoranda, and tracks M&A activity in the logistics industry; he also supports the firm’s venture capital arm, EVE Atlas. Prior to his full-time experience, Mr. Page was an Investment Banking Summer Analyst with Wells Fargo Securities and a Research Analyst at Arcus Capital Partners, a boutique wealth management firm based in Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Warrington School of Business at the University of Florida.
Ms. Keeley joined EVE in 2019 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer. She oversees year-end tax packages, including K-1 preparation and distribution, and manages accounting functions related to EVE’s management of portfolio company operations. Her other responsibilities include distributing monthly or quarterly investor materials, preparing financial reports for both EVE and investor equity in portfolio companies, and coordinating fund flows and wire confirmations for platform and tuck-in acquisitions. Additionally, she tracks and ensures EVE’s compliance with side letter obligations for each investor in a transaction. Prior to joining EVE, she was a Finance Manager at AMPORTS, a leader in the global automotive industry with multiple locations throughout North America. Mrs. Keeley was responsible for the financials for three of its seven port facilities. Additionally, she oversaw training for all locations on the implementation of a new purchase order/AP system. From 2002-2013, Ms. Keeley was the Controller at The Florida Yacht Club. She was responsible for all financial aspects of the Club and worked closely with the Board and Managers to provide exceptional service to the members. In 2011 and 2012, she served as President of the Hospitality Financial Technology Professional First Coast Chapter located in Jacksonville, FL. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy both from the University of North Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida.
